Why Time Feels So Fast After 10th Grade | Day 25

Why Time Feels So Fast After 10th Grade

Ever felt like someone hit the fast-forward button on your life right after 10th?

Because SAME.

Time used to crawl back then. Every single day in 10th felt long, eventful, and so... full. But now? I blink, and it’s Sunday again. I blink again, and boom — half of 12th is done. Bro, how?

🎢 Life Before vs After 10th Grade

Let’s rewind for a sec.

Back in 10th, life felt like a complete package:

  • Wake up

  • School drama

  • Backbencher fun

  • Tuitions in the evening

  • Post-tuition chill sessions

  • Late-night overthinking

Even with the stress of boards, I lived every day. I actually remember days from that year — the vibes, the memories, even random convos.

Now?

I don’t even remember last week.

I wake up, go to coaching, come back, eat, study, sleep — repeat. The same thing every day. No sudden school announcements, no tiffin-sharing chaos, no PE periods turned into football wars. Just... routine.

🧠 Why Time Feels Faster Now

Okay, here’s what I think is happening:

1. Routine Kills Perception

When life becomes repetitive, the brain doesn’t store each day as a “new memory.”
In 10th, every day had something new — events, people, chaos. But now? It’s the same loop. And when nothing stands out, days blur together.

2. We Got Too “Busy”

After 10th, things got serious. Coaching started. JEE prep became real. We became "goal-oriented."
We’re constantly thinking about the future — next test, next chapter, next big exam.
That “I have to be productive” mindset never lets the brain slow down and actually experience time.

3. Disconnected Friend Circles

Let’s be honest — after 10th, everyone split up.
Some took science, some commerce, some dipped out completely. No more full-school chaos, no more “group wala hangout.”
And when you're surrounded by fewer people or newer faces, the social energy just hits different (or doesn’t).

4. We Stopped Romanticizing Life

Remember how just walking back with your friends was a moment?
Now we just… exist. Eyes on the clock, mind on goals, phone in hand. We forgot how to make small things feel big again.

🌅 The Realisation Hits

I sometimes look back and think — when did I last feel a full day?

Like actually live a whole day from morning to night and remember all of it?

Can’t recall.

That’s when I realized — maybe it’s not time that’s flying, maybe I just stopped noticing it.

💡 So What Now?

Here's what I’m trying to do to slow down time — maybe it’ll help you too:

  • Be more present — even in the small stuff.

  • Write about your days — journaling/blogging captures time.

  • Catch up with old school friends — brings back that “time-travel” feeling.

  • Take random breaks from the grind — even 15 mins of “real life” a day helps.

✨ Conclusion: Time Isn’t Moving Fast — We’re Just Not Looking

Life after 10th didn’t suddenly accelerate.
We just got too busy to feel it.

We stopped living in the now, and started constantly chasing the later.

So if you're feeling like your years are flying by, slow down for a sec. Step out of autopilot.
Capture the moment. Romanticize the little stuff again.

Because someday, even this “fast” time will feel slow in your memories — if you choose to live it fully today.

RAK of the Day: Got my sister her favorite breakfast......she enjoyed it!

🎥 What If My Life Was a Reel? | Day 2

🎥 What If My Life Was a Reel? It’s kinda crazy to even try to sum up a whole life in one reel, but shoot... let’s dream for a sec. It would start with me and my family stepping out of my dad’s car — then boom, at the peak beat of some epic background music (probably Destroyer of Worlds ), we transition to us getting out of a supercar , all in black suits and sunglasses , with my dog in a tuxedo, slow-mo walking to close a billion-dollar deal . Cue the crazy rich montage edits — jets, yachts, the works. (Look, if we’re dreaming, we’re dreaming BIG. 😂) But then... I WISH it was that easy. If life was just a 30-second aesthetic reel, it would skip over all the real stuff — the actual experiences, the learning, the messy growth, the weirdly beautiful chaos. You know what my real-life reel would actually look like? 40% me opening the fridge and forgetting why I’m there 30% switching between three apps and accomplishing absolutely nothing 20% thinking about those em...

Success Precedes with Balance | Day 3

Hustle Culture vs Chill Culture: Why Balance is Everything We’re living in a time where you can spot two major types of people everywhere: The Hustlers and The Chillers . The Hustlers: These are the people who are always grinding — non-stop. In my classes, I see students who live in textbooks 24/7. No physical exercise, no social life, no hobbies — just study, eat, sleep, repeat. Sure, they might build a great career on paper. But somewhere along the way, they lose the spark. They forget how to be still, how to enjoy the moment, how to actually live . They end up becoming isolated, burnt out, and honestly... kind of miserable. The Chillers: On the flip side, you have the ones who seem like they’re permanently on vacation mode. Always bunking class, always out somewhere, doing literally everything except what they're supposed to. They’re fun to be around — kings and queens of socializing — but if you can’t show up for your own future, no amount of "rizz" ...

Teenagers and Spirituality????? | Day 1

Do Teenagers Even Need Spirituality? Okay, real talk — what even is spirituality? Like… people throw that word around a lot, but to me, it’s just about trying to connect with something bigger than yourself. That “something” could be God, energy, nature, the universe, your higher self — whatever makes you pause and go, “Whoa, maybe I’m not the main character in this whole existence thing.” And honestly? I think teens do need that connection. Look, our generation is low-key fried. We’ve got a million tabs open in our heads, attention spans shorter than a TikTok, and this constant feeling of rushing — but to where , exactly? We get so caught up in school, goals, social media, the grind, the comparison game… that we forget to just be . To sit in silence. To wonder. To trust. Sometimes, I think we forget there’s something (or someone) out there that knows what’s going on — even when we don’t. Like, haven’t you ever had a moment where something happened, and at the time it made...
