The Cost of Constant Hustle
These days, it feels like everyone is chasing something.

There’s this silent pressure to “make it” — and make it fast.
I get it. Hustle is good. Speed matters.
But what we’re seeing now? It’s beyond ambition — it’s obsession.
Overachievers are burning out before they even start living.
In the race to be “the youngest to ever do it,”
we forget how to just be still.
To feel moments. To absorb life.
Not everything needs to be earned through sweat.
Some things… the universe just wants to give you — if you let it.
But these overachievers — they grind so hard, and when it still doesn’t click,
they ask, “Why isn’t it working? I did everything.”
Because sometimes it’s not about effort — it’s about timing.
A friend once wrote this poem — it stuck with me:
What am I doing in this life?
Not a business at sixteen,
Not a millionaire at seventeen,
Not the youngest champion ever seen.
They say, “Live today, don’t overthink,”
But aren’t we all tied to the brink?
Each move feels tethered to tomorrow,
A future carved from hope and sorrow.
Perhaps I’m lost, or finding my way,
Not every success blooms in a day.
What am I doing? I’m learning to be—
Someday, that might set me free.
Read that again.
That’s the reminder most of us need.
It’s okay to not be ahead of the curve.
It’s okay if your journey isn’t flashy or fast.
You’re not behind — you’re becoming.
We all want to be something someday.
But don’t forget to be someone today.
